Welcome to the OMGAA Scholarship Golf Event home page. The OMGAA Scholarship Golf Event began in 2007 as the primary fund raising event to support the OMGAA Academic Scholarship Program and the OMGAA Adapted (Special Olympics) Softball Program.
The OMGAA Academic Scholarship Program has awarded $8000.00 in scholarships since May of 2004. Scholarships are awarded to graduating area seniors from public and private schools that have played in an OMGAA program while attending school as a freshman, sophomor or junior. Scholarships are awarded based on academic performance without regard to athletic achievement.
The OMGAA Adapted (Special Olympics) Softball program was established in 2001 with 18 athletes competing in Special Olympics MN regional and state tournaments. OMGAA was the first main stream youth sports organization in Minnesota to include an adapted program under it's general umbrella, and has grown to over 80 athletes.
