The Rangers played a very good Cardinal team on Tuesday and despite having several scoring opportunities, were defeated 3-0. Sam Hinnenkamp and Tyler Sabraski both pitched extremely well and were helped in the field by some great defense including some superb plays by Will Hamilton. Offensively,  Ryan Spindler was the only Ranger to get a base hit with a solid single to left field... The Rangers left the bases loaded in the second and runners at second and third in the third.

The Rangers pitchers pitched much better tonite, but the bats of the Rays destroyed the Rangers. The Rays had 13 base hits, while the Rangers had 1. Jake Ftacek hit a bullet down the third base line for the Rangers only hit of the game...But he was stranded at third.

The Nationals scored runs early and often against the Rangers on Tuesday night. Spencer, Tyler and Sam all had difficulty throwing strikes...Offensively, the Rangers missed opportunities to score with players striking out at key points in the game..Tanner McCoy was the only Ranger to get a hit and scored the Rangers only run.
