The Mets dropped game 1 of the playoffs 10 - 1 to the 4th seeded Rays. The game was much closer than the score would suggest. The 8 player Mets had great pitching, solid fielding and some clutch hitting. MVP Nathan Arrell had his best game of the season. He pitched two great innings with a 1.00 ERA. When he wasn't striking them out, he was throwing them out at first base. Nathan also went 2 for 2 with a single and a double, scoring the teams only run.
With two more playoff games, the Mets are still in the Championship hunt. Next up they face the 13th seeded D-Backs Wednesday night at 7:00.
Go Mets!
