The Mets kept themselves in the championship hunt with a game 2 playoff victory against the tenacious Diamond Backs. Right handed pitcher Cory Schultz ended the night in dramatic fashion with a game winning strikeout, stranding two D-Back runners. MVP Ryan Miller, who went 2 for 3 at the plate, got the Mets fired up with a second inning double and eventually scoring the game's first run.
The Mets face the 5th seeded Yankees Friday at 5:30. Win or lose, its been a fantastic season!
