OMGAA Dibs Program for the 2025 Season

2025 OMGAA Baseball and Fastpitch (travel and house leagues)

DIBS PROGRAM:

The DIBS volunteer program is designed to help OMGAA carry out the various tasks and duties needed to give our players a great experience this season.  The intent is to build an OMGAA community based on volunteerism and service.  We ask each family to volunteer a specific number of hours/services for various events throughout the year.  Past years we have seen great participation during the early parts of the season, but we really need help with tournaments and events later in the season.

DIBS Opportunities for the 2025 season will be available from January 1st, 2025 thru September 30th, 2025.

The OMGAA program needs all families to participate in DIBS to make this program successful.  We need help with a variety of programs and leagues for both travel and house baseball and softball.  We encourage you to serve DIBS hours outside of your player's league! DIBS hours are good for the entire OMGAA organization.  Please help wherever and whenever you can!

NEW! 2025 DIBS Requirements:

  • 4 DIBS hours per player.
  • 8 DIBS hours max per family.
  • Volunteers must be at least 16 years old.
  • $250.00 buyout per player (this is done at registration) - if you choose this option, you will not be required to do DIBS hours.
  • DIBS check: Each OMGAA player who has not elected to buy-out, will be required to give a DIBS check of $250.00 to the DIBS Director before uniforms will be released.  Checks will be collected from EVERY player (parents, coaches/team managers, even those who have completed their DIBS, etc.).  For example, families with 4 players, will write 4 checks. NOTE:  if the coaching staff is determined prior to uniform distribution, they do not need to turn in a check.  Coaching staff consists of: Head Coaches, two Assistant Coaches and either a Team Manager OR a third Assistant Coach, total of 4 for coaches per team.
  • DIBS checks will be destroyed upon completion of DIBS requirements.
  • DIBS requirements that are not fulfilled, checks will be cashed after September 30th, 2025.

DIBS Exemptions:

  • Head Coaches, two Assistant Coaches and either a Team Manager OR a third Assistant Coach are exempt from the DIBS requirement.  These need to be determined prior to the season starting.
  • DIBS requirements cannot be completed on behalf of another party. They are non-transferable. For example, if a Head Coach also helps with clinics, he or she cannot give their "extra" DIBS to another person or family.
  • League, Program and Special Coordinators are exempt from the DIBS requirement for the current season.
