2025 OMGAA STORM SOFTBALL TRYOUT INFORMATION

An OMGAA registration link will come out mid-January 2025 for Travel Tryouts. All players interested in playing Storm travel softball will be required to register and tryout.

Below are the 5 tryout dates to be aware of, including the tentative plan (subject to change depending on registration #'s).

Monday Feb. 24 - 6-10pm

6-8pm - 10u tryouts (night 1)
8-10pm - pitchers/catchers (all ages 10u+)

Wednesday Feb. 26 - 5-7pm

5-7pm - 10u tryouts (callbacks)

Sunday Mar. 2 - 1:30-3:30pm

8u tryouts

Monday Mar. 3 - 5-9pm

5-7:30pm - 12u tryouts (night 1)
7-9pm - 14u tryouts (night 1)

Wednesday Mar. 5 - 5-7pm

5-7pm 12u/14u (night 2 callbacks)

FREE t-shirt for the first 200 registered
Introduction to Softball skills: Offense and Defense
Offense and Defense repetition
Preparing players for tryouts and upcoming seasons
10U ages and up: $40 per session (with early bird registration discounts available)
8U participants: 1st 2 sessions FREE, then $25 per remaining session (with early bird registration discounts available)
Weekly Registration Available

Clinic Dates:

Sunday January 5,12,19,26 from 1:30-3:30pm
Sunday February 2,9,16,23 from 1:30-3:30pm

All clinics will take place at the Maple Grove Dome next to Maple Grove Senior High School.

Kids will need to bring a glove, bat, helmet and facemask. Some limited quantities of equipment may be available for those in need.

Pitching Clinic (with Heather Evenson):

Wednesday January 8,15,22,29, and February 5,12,19
Beginner Level: 6-7pm
Intermediate Level: 7-8pm
Location: Maple Grove Dome next to MG High School
Cost $350 (includes all 7 sessions)

Max 12 kids per group for more individualized attention
Kids signing up for Intermediate level should already have a change-up
Participants will need to provide a catcher (parent or other)

May 2-4, OMGAA Battle on the Turf Tournament at Gleason Fields (10U)
May 9-11, OMGAA Battle on the Turf Tournament at Gleason Fields (12U)
June 27-29 - 10U/12U State Qualifiers
June 28-29 - 8U State Tournament
July 12-13 - 10U/12U State Tournaments
July 17-20 - 10U/12U NAFA Northern Nationals
July 18-20 - 14U State Qualifiers
July 18-20 - 8U NAFA Northern Nationals
July 24-27 - 8U/10U Monsta National Championships
July 26-27 - 14U State Tournament
